This article features six sections below. Click the links to be redirected to the related part:
(1) Error Code: 21 – Abnormal Current
① Problem Description: The motor doesn’t work and the PAS mode is ineffective.
② Step-by-Step Solution: First, please check whether all the cables are firmly connected, whether the pin inside the connector is deformed, whether the connector is aligned with the arrow, and whether there is a broken line or short circuit. If you find any connection problems, please try reconnection or replace the damaged wire.
If all connections are fine, please disconnect the PAS sensor and then restart the display to see if the e-bike operates normally. If yes, the PAS sensor should be replaced. If the error code still exists, the controller should be replaced.
③ Apply to E-bike Models: Cityscape, Mars, Race, Ranger, Explore, Cityrun, Brawn, Tyson, Ranger S, Horizon, Mars 2.0, Hauler, Hero.
(2) Error Code: 22 – Throttle Error
① Problem Description: It is ineffective to speed with the throttle, or the e-bike speeds up automatically without the throttle.
② Step-by-Step Solution: First, please check whether the throttle connection is firm, whether the pin inside the connector is deformed, whether the connector is aligned with the arrow, and whether there is a broken line or short circuit. If you find any connection problems, please try reconnection or replace the damaged wire.
If no problems are found, then the throttle needs to be replaced. If the error code still exists after the replacement, then the main cable or controller should be replaced.
③ Apply to E-bike Models: Cityscape, Mars, Race, Ranger, Explore, Cityrun, Brawn, Tyson, Ranger S, Horizon, Mars 2.0, Hauler, Hero.
(3) Error Code: 23 – Motor Phase Loss
① Problem Description: Abnormal or ineffective acceleration; Abnormal sound and vibration of the motor.
② Step-by-Step Solution: First, please check whether the motor connection is fine, including the connection of the motor wire and controller. If you find any poor connection or damaged wire, please try reconnection or replace the damaged parts. If no problems are found, then the motor needs to be replaced.
③ Apply to E-bike Models: Cityscape, Mars, Race, Ranger, Explore, Cityrun, Brawn, Tyson, Ranger S, Horizon, Mars 2.0, Hauler, Hero.
(4) Error Code: 24 – Abnormal Hall Sensor Signal
① Problem Description: Abnormal or ineffective acceleration.
(5) Error Code: 25 – Brake Failure
① Problem Description: The e-bike can not speed up successfully.
② Step-by-Step Solution: Firstly, please check whether the left and right brakes are back to the normal position. Then check whether the throttle cable connection is firm and correct, whether the pin inside the connector is deformed, whether the connector is aligned with the arrow, and whether there is a broken line or short circuit. If you find any connection problems, please try to reconnect or replace the damaged cable.
If no problem is found with the cable connection, then please do the following checks.
Unplug the left/right brake connector and then try restarting the bike to see whether there is any error code on the display. If you unplug the right brake connector, restart the bike, and don't see any error code, it indicates something is wrong with the right brake. And it needs to be replaced. So does the left brake. If the brake is a mechanical one, you can just replace it. If it is a hydraulic one, you can adjust the fixed screw (at the bottom of the brake) for the power cut-off sensor. Simply rotate it counterclockwise half a turn.
If no problems are found on the brakes after all checks, the controller may need to be replaced.
③ Apply to E-bike Models: Cityrun, Brawn, Tyson, Ranger S, Horizon, Mars 2.0, Hauler, Hero.
(6) Error Code: 30 – Communication Error
① Problem Description: The display fails to receive the correct controller data, and the e-bike can not speed up successfully.
② Step-by-Step Solution: First, please check whether the connection of the display, main cable, and controller is firm and correct. And then check whether the pin inside the connector is deformed, whether the connector is aligned with the arrow, and whether there is a broken line or short circuit. If you find any connection problems, please try to reconnect or replace the damaged cable.
If no problem is found with the cable connection, then please do the following checks.
Please disconnect the PAS sensor and controller, and then restart the display. If the error code doesn't show up, then something is wrong with the PAS sensor and it needs to be replaced. If the error code still exists, then the controller needs a replacement. If the problem still can not be solved, please consider replacing the main cable or display.
③ Apply to E-bike Models: Cityscape, Mars, Race, Ranger, Explore, Cityrun, Brawn, Tyson, Ranger S, Horizon, Mars 2.0, Hauler, Hero.
